Julian Perretta

Ok, so a couple months ago, my brother told me about this singer. Julian Perretta is a British singer, who gained popularity through blogging websites. He signed a contract with Columbia Records last year, and his debut album is coming out this summer. His music is a mix of pop and soul, which makes him stand out from the crowd.

El Tambor de la Tribu

El tambor de la Tribu is yet another Guatemalan band. Their first CD was released in 2004, and their song Skalavera was an immediate hit. Their music is a mix between Rock, Soul, Reggae, Ska, and latin music like Cumbia, Vallenato mixed with some other Caribbean sounds. The fusion of all these sounds make their music very unique.

I decided that this month I'm going to support Guatemalan talent. Malacates Trebol Shop is another successful Guatemalan band and they just released this new song, De Que Sirve Querer? (What is love good for?). Malacates has always been characterized by their innovative mix of rock, ska, and pop music.
